The shoe feels incredibly light, with each sole weighing less than 206 grams. From my personal preference, a weight around 200 grams offers the perfect balance of comfort and confidence. The upper is made of a single layer mesh, which is thin and breathable, with many open mesh holes in the forefoot for excellent ventilation. The tongue is also lightweight, consisting of just one layer of suede, and fits perfectly against the ankle. There's a central anti skid hole on the tongue, which helps with stability but isn't as effective as a slightly offset design. The heel has minimal but compact cushioning, providing a snug and secure fit. An internal rigid TPU ensures necessary support, while the DNA FLASH midsole technology is Brooks' first innovation to incorporate nitrogen into the sole. This technology uses supercritical fluid foaming to convert liquid nitrogen into gas and evenly distribute it into countless tightly packed air pockets for enhanced performance
