The minimalist look is incredibly appealing, and the first time I put them on, I was immediately struck by how light they feel. Each shoe weighs under 206g, which makes them perfect for those who prefer a lightweight yet secure feel. The upper is made of a single layer of mesh fabric that's ultra thin and breathable, with plenty of open mesh panels for excellent ventilation. The tongue is also lightweight, featuring just one layer of suede that fits perfectly against the ankle. There's a central anti skid hole on the tongue, which is a nice touch, but I found it slightly less effective than a more offset design. The collar has a small amount of foam padding that's very snug and comfortable, providing great support without being too bulky. Inside, there's a rigid TPU for stability, making these shoes ideal for running. The midsole is made of DNA FLASH technology, Brooks' first innovation to incorporate nitrogen into the midsole using supercritical fluid foaming to create countless tightly packed air chambers for enhanced cushioning and responsiveness
